Synopsis
The Shawshank Redemption is a drama about Andy Dufresne, a successful banker who is sentenced to life in prison for the murder of his wife and her lover, despite maintaining his innocence. He is sent to Shawshank State Penitentiary, where he faces the harsh realities of prison life.
Over the years, Andy forms a close friendship with fellow inmate Ellis ‘Red’ Redding, a long-term prisoner known for his ability to obtain contraband items.
